Selective agar with low water activity for the enumeration yeast and molds, especially enumeration and isolation of xerophilic molds.

PROCEDURE

Suspend 31.62 G in 1 L of distilled water and boil to dissolve the medium completely. Add 220 mL of Glycerol supplement (MB-G1821) to the medium, mix and sterilize by autoclaving at 121 °C for 15 minutes. Mix well before pouring.

STORE

Store the dehydrated medium tightly closed in a dry place at room temperature and use before the expiry date on the label. Store the prepared medium protected from light at 2-6 °C.
