INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS

The present of an inhibition halo of at least 5mm in diameter around the disc of optochine allows the presumptive identification of Streptococcus pneumoniae, which must be confirmed by serological test.

PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD

Optochine Test Disc는 optochine(Ethylhydrocupreine hydrochloride)의 농도 5µg이며 세포막의 표면장력을 변화시킨 Optochine은 연쇄상구균 폐렴에 효과가 있는 억제제입니다.

PROCEDURE

• 냉장고에서 키트를 꺼내 실온에 방치합니다.

• 적절한 배지에 검체를 접종 후 살균된 도구를 사용하여 디스크를 미생물이 접종된 배지에 놓고 살짝 눌러줍니다.

• 5% CO2 조건에서 35±2℃에서 18~24시간 동안 배양합니다.

• 디스크 주위의 환을 확인합니다.

STORE

Store at 2 to 8°C in its original pack. Keep away from sources of heat and avoid excessive changes of temperature. Use until the expiry date indicated on the label. Eliminate without using if there are signs of deterioration. The product can be shielded from light.
