PROCEDURE
Suspend 33.04 G of powder in 860 mL of distilled or deionized water. Heat
to boiling until completely dissolved. Sterilize by autoclave at 121¡ÆC for 15
minutes. Cool to 45 - 50¡ÆC in water bath. Aseptically add 2 vials Trichomonas
Selective supplement (MB-T2570) and 100 mL of sterile Horse Serum (MB-H1888,
required heat inactivation at 56¡ÆC for 30 miniutes). Mix well. Pour into tubes.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room temperature, in a
dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and use it before the
expiry date on the label or until signs of deterioration or contamination are
evident. Store prepared medium at 2 - 8¡ÆC.
